A Testimony

My brother-in-law, who is an amazing and kind man, comes from a wonderful, LARGE family. He is one of 11 children! (My grandmother still can't believe it.) Recently their sweet mother, who was once again in the hospital for cancer treatments, went home to spend her remaining days in her home with her family. Even though I don't know her extremely well, my heart ached for this family--all of those kids!--and her husband.

We often talk of the Lord having a plan for us and having faith that He knows what is best. That's a much easier thing to say when everything is going well, and we have everything we want! But even in difficult times, it is clear that the Lord is with us to comfort us and walk with us when things seem dark and grim. This dear mother passed away this week, and still the faith of her family members burns bright. Please read what one of her daughters wrote in this post and know that what she's saying is true.

We do have a Heavenly Father who loves us. He does have a plan for each of us that includes returning to Him to be with our families forever, even after death in this life. I know my brother-in-law will see his mother again, and what sweet--and huge!--reunion that will be.
